I bought a big bag of color changing di resin…. Any advice on storing it once it’s opened? I also got a vacuum sealer in case that was required.

vaccuum sealing is prob your best bet, but i just throw it into the biggest ziplock I can find and try to squeeze as much air as I can out. Co2 will deplete the anion part of the resin.

I don’t. I’d throw it away and buy the prefilled ones, but that’s just me.

I had a bad experience with the prefilled not being packed well enough so I bought the huge bag thinking it would save me money, it’s supposed to fill 6 tubes so I’d rather not throw it away..

I think as long as you vacuum seal it in a foil type bag Gregg it should be nice and fresh at least for a good year. Once the air gets to it (CO2) it gets depleted. The foil is supposed to block the CO2 from penetrating if I remember correctly.

Hello Gregg,

I have used my heat sealer, but for me the GRIPSTIC Chip Bag Sealers are easier and work great for keeping DI Resin fresh after opening. Various sizes are available. Also note that I've tried Gripstic knock-offs that are cheaper, but the knock-offs are smaller in diameter which makes them harder to use...

Just my $0.02 -RobbyeD

I have an old FoodSaver vacuum sealer and use it for loose DI resin. Just place the resin bag in the seal bag and it pulls a very good vacuum on it and seals it up. You can get smaller containers with hand-held vacuum pumps but Not sure how long they hold a good vacuum for.
