Well i just got home about 20mins ago and as i was walking by my window outside i saw my blue awesome glow coming out the window, i was thinking to myself, whos watching tv in my room? so i get in the house and straight to my room and i see my tank is still fully lite up. seems like those stupid walmart timers suck, one got stuck and left my vhos on. my time period is from 8am to 7pm. and about 30mins later the fans turn off too so i can sleep at night. well the fans turned off but my vhos didnt. all my fish looked pissed and the few corals i have dont seem to care for the momment. the temperature reached 90.5degrees since my dad has the heater on, that didnt help it out too much. alright i'll step off my soapbox, any recomendations on good timers im about to burn mine and replace them.

My timers went out too. I would like to have one that has multiple outlets and programming for each.

Sorry to hear that Gerson .

I found a good deal on digital timers yesterday at home depot. 3 prong digital timers for $7.49 handles 15 amps. They are in the christmas section.

I would have at least 1 fan on the lighting circuit itself, that way you wont kill everything if another timer fails relay sticks on, etc.

90.5...wow thats hot.

I have some timers (4?) that I replaced with a controller. Don't remember where I bought them but I never had one stick in 8 months of use. If anyone wants them, I would sell for $5/each.

I got a few of the multi outlet surge protector/timers from Pets Mart. They work great.. just wish they had batteries to keep the programming in the event of a brief power outage. They are Apex brand with 2 timer outlets and 4 normal 4 normal outlets. I have been using them for about 6 months without any problems other that not having batteries.

My timers are not digital. They are the kind that you press down the little tabs to set the start and stop times. I am still using some of the same type on some components.
