We just picked up an 8g for our kids and I'd like suggestions on fish. We will get 1 fish or possibly 2. (ie neon goby and small clown) Anyhoo, I'd like a few recommendations for fish. Nicki and Dennis' old tank.

I told my 4 year old she could pick anything and I steered her to a Catalina and she gave me the "meh, it's ok" response. I was like, "pssh, whatever!"

I have herd Catalina Gobies don't do well in warmer reef temperatures. Jared, you said you had one before. How long did it last? I would like to get one myself if it is a good idea.

I had 210g with lot of fishes in there but it isn't fun to watch than 30g with 8 clown fishes and 3 RBTA.
I bought 8 baby clownfish at same time to be sure they're know each other and now they share room to sleep then cat and mouse some time..lol..i love to see them enjoy relax in the NEM.

Exactly my clown fishes did not swim anywhere, they just swim around those NEM only. For your 8g tank you can buy 5 or 6, IMO. I bought these clown fish from G-Reef, they are very nice fish and cheap.

Ok, little update. We have a purple dotty back and a sexy shrimp in it as of now. I let my middle girl pick out any (to a certain extent) fish that she wanted. We will probably get a neon goby to finish out the livestock.

Tell her to get this guy in front and the clown in the back.
