Would it be a bad idea for me to put a small power head in my sump to keep the detrius from forming on my cheato? Also I have about 5-10 lbs of lr in it now should I add more or keep it the same? Thanks!

I don't use one in my sump. I don't think you need one. I also do know that there are some reefers using a small powerhead to tumble the cheato.

That is my problem. My cheato is just sitting in a corner collecting dust.

i have a k1 down there because i just have one laying around. I think all u need is a deep sandbed, good amount of LR and some chaeto along with some nass. snails to stir up the sand.

ok so i need to add sand? I will if i need too. Also my sunp is a 29 gallon and my dad wanted to know if I could put a peacock mantis shrimp down there? Thanks!

its the deep sand bed method. You probaly can add a mantis but make sure the sump has thick glass or acrylic.

How much is sand is a deep sand bed? 4-6 inches? I have about 45lbs sitting around. You think this will be enough? Thanks!

4-5 is fine. As long as the rocks fit good in there.
