Hey y'all - anybody have any thriving sun corals that you'd like to show off?

I'm considering getting back in the hobby, not going crazy again or anything, but just to have another beloved sun coral. And a pearly-headed jawfish. And threadfin goby and partner pistol shrimp. And mandarin.

Yeah, definitely not going to let this get out of hand. ;)

Show me your suns!

I wish I did - they are really cool. I bought a beautiful colony at my first MARSH frag swap, but by the end of five years I had lost every polyp. I did feed every polyp, but maybe not often enough or maybe they didn't like the super-high-phosphate water they were in.

Here is the colony I had back in 2012. Now it's just a sad, empty rock.

Pearly-headed jawfish - those are one of my favorites too. I don't have one currently, but thinking about setting up a tank for one.

Oh wow, that was a beauty! So sorry you lost the colony. It was so difficult keeping the tank in balance with the heavy feedings I used to do of those tiny frozen shrimp and that red frozen stuff (what on earth was that called? It was some kind of red phytoplankton or something).
