I'm planning on reusing my dual 150w MH fixture, and adding in 4- 48" T5 lights to my new 120. But since the tank is 24" wide, I should have plenty of room to put two T5s in front and two behind the fixture. Each set is on a different ballast, so I plan to run then dawn-dusk mode. I'll have two lights on earlier in the day, add the other two, then run the MH and then turn them off the same way.

Right now I'm running my MH lights from about 4:00 until 10:30.

I believe that the saturation of light for corals occurs aroun 7 hrs, so anything longer is really just going to cause algae growth and for viewing. Running my Halides around 7.5 hrs. I was running 6.5 hrs. 250w 20k Radiums.
