I just changed my t-5 bulbs. When I fired it up there were no issues for about 15 seconds and then it just went off I reset all the bulbs and now the top two bulbs will only fire for a second or so. I changed to my reserve ballast and the same thing. Can anyone help on this?

if your setup is diy, sometimes darn finicky. i have battled for hours to trouble shoot. hindsight, might change one out at a time, and check next go around. i am sure you checked all your connections 10 times now, i would make sure wiring is pushed all the way down, have someone plug ballast in while you look to see which one is blanking out on you, not firing.

end of the day, probably an endcap.....or possibly a bad bulb.

i have been thru this, hair puller.

pour stiff drink, mess with it for 20 more minutes, come to actualization, tank will be fine without actinics, pour one more stiff drink, try tomorrow.

the bulb isn't connecting fully. if you can, move the endcaps closer. i had the same problem a while back and had to move the endcaps closer together. worked like a charm.
