I am going to buy new bulbs for my 4x54w retro kit this week. I currently have 1 6k, 2 blue +, and 1 actinic. My tank is very blue. I like the way the fish and corals look underneath it but I also have seen some tanks that look very crisp and white. Any suggestions as to what bulb combo I should go with? Pictures would help too.

get one 6K, one Aquablue (11000K), and two Actinic+ (450nm). the reason you are getting a very blue look is due to having 3 actinic based bulbs and only one sunlight bulb. replace the pure actinic with a aquablue and you'll instantly get a lot more white light.

What bulb setup are you running on your tank (the one in you signature)?
