Ok, I was using 2 Actinic VHO bulbs, but they are way over due to be replaced, and for the past month, just haven't had any actinics on my tank.
I'm debating switching to T5's but can't decide what would be best.
I'm a little low on cash so trying to figure out which corners I can cut or shouldn't cut.
From what I've read, when using T5's, the reflector is pretty important. Is that correct?
I have a 4 foot long tank with 2 MH bulbs, both with the spider reflectors on them. Could the T5 bulbs use the same reflector and still be effective? Or would it not be useful if the bulb is too far from the reflector?
If I need to buy the reflector also, I'll be setting up only 1 bulb for now.
If I go with VHO, I will still use 2 bulbs, just because I don't need a seperate reflector.
How useful is 1 T5 54W bulb? What do u suggest? Start with the single T5 and add a 2nd later, or just go with the 2 VHO bulbs again?
AAARRRGGHHH, TRASH DAY, gotta run!!!!
