Well it happened...I had considered myself so lucky that my tank hadn't suffered any great set backs and then it happened. I went out of town last weekend to visit my son stationed at Ft. Knox KY....didn't know I had a leak in some of my plumbing because it drained under the wall and into a bedroom...pretty much took about all of the saltwater out of my tank and auto top off filled it with fresh water.....I didn't lose everything but I lost a lot of my favorite treasures.....so I pick myself up and start over again.....It just stinks!!!

Gee, sorry to hear this kind of news  How long had you had this tank set up? Did you find the leak? I sure hear a lot of stories about bad things happening when people are away from home :( Makes me wonder if I'll ever go on vaccation again. At least you got to see your son. Wishing your tank a speedy recovery!

That's a shame Linda. You snagged some nice looking stuff to fill that tank.

Guess you'll be shopping again soon. Sorry to hear that.

Thanks everyone....The leak was in some pvc pipe which is really strange....at a union....the pipe cracked so I don't know but maybe it was defective pipe and just finally gave. This tank has been up for about six months or so...upgraded from a 55 gallon....been a slow process but I just love the tank so here we go again..Thanks for all your good wishes...it helps.

So sorry Linda, but hey, come over and get some frags from my tank. I need to cut back most of my softies if you want some. Also, I have lots of shrooms that you can have some cuttings from.

don't give up on this wonderful hobby.

Jen :)

Linda, so sorry to hear about this tragedy. It's horrible to suffer something like this. I'm glad the water didn't leak into any power strips or in ballasts or anything to spark a fire.
