Great start to 2019 so far.

ATO overflowed the tank last night and dropped the salinity to 33ppt. Figured I would let it evaporate off, came home to 75° water since the water level was so high it wasn’t circulating throughout the tank right. Yay.

Fixed the ac adapter though. Luckily I Found one at work that had the right specifications and spliced the connector on. Powered right up, at least it wasn’t the brains to the lights.

Some of my SPS are not happy :/ hopefully the majority of them are not to stressed out.

Glad to hear you got the light taken care of. Shame about the ATO, any clue what happened there?

Hydrofill sensors had some film on them and failed open (dry), so it just pumped away until empty :/. Haven’t had that problem before, had the opposite where they were failed closed (wet) and didn’t top off at all.

Might need to add some sort of fail safe mechanism to prevent top off overflow. Luckily my 5 gal top off container wasn’t full, just managed a gallon or two.

Yeah I'm in the process of trying to figure out my auto top off for my main tank right now. I'm almost to where i want to gravity feed to an old school float valve to prevent some of these problems.

If you clean those float values as part of your monthly routine, it should help the sensor to not have failure. Or replace them, they are super cheap 10x bag Amazon for 20 bucks.it's 2 wires.. I got a ATO for 6 years still running strong got it from FJW... Lol

Do you have a link? Innovative Marine wanted like $15 a sensor to replace.
