If you wanted to pull off the two in one pipe idea your going to have to use something like a 2.5in pipe. You could run a 1/2 to 3/4 in return line through the core of the pipe and up through the center of a stockman. You cant do it the opposite because there is no easy way of getting the drain from the core of the pipe through the sidewall of your pumping pipe. Just remember you have to use a large pipe because filling the core of your pipe is going to make your drain terribly ineffecient.

Yeah...I think i have scratched that IDEA for the simplicity of just using two pipes just makes more sense...Its just SOOO much easier to run with one drain and one return line...

This is bad, you have got me thinkin, I think I might just do a 27in circular overflow tank now.

You can go through B&B and get universal to make the tank for you. Deffinately sounds like a great project to use Starfire glass. I would run some sort of closed loop as well for that extra bit of flow.

Yeah I was thinking that this would be a really cool setup with a Cylinder tank too...and like you said, just do an overflow in the center and then you can run a sump and everything...

I see ALOT of options with this kind of tank...and having the plumbing in the center...Now just to find the right spot for a tank that can be seen on ALL sides!!!

Also who is B&B??? and Universal???

Without knowing what exactly you're picturing, I'd be concerned about that spray bar. Vertical spray bars will act as siphons if a pump fails or power goes out. Check valves can help prevent this, but many consider them prone to failure. You'll also have no place to drill a siphon break.

B&B is up on 1960 about a half mile west of hwy249. The owner is Sak, and he's always been a good guy to deal with in my experience.

Universal is an aquarium builder. Think they're somewhere just out of town.
