I have a few notes on a sticky on the canopy of my DT - and I've used a white board marker to circle on the glass the locations of aptasia I needed to go after - but that wipes clean if I look at it cross. I'm thinking of marking some info on my QT tanks - today I use a notepad or a piece of painters tape on the tank. The marker should wipe clean on purpose, but not just brush off. LFS do this routinely. What have you used that worked well? I saw a pack of $30 window markers at a store - for that, I'll stick with my notepad and painters tape.

I use a sharpie on my QT tanks. I’ve also used fluorescent glass pens. I like sharpies because they don’t wipe off easy. A good razor blade takes it right off. Or you can use Acetone to quickly get it off.
