I currently have a 125 Gal in the center of a wall and I picked up 2 cubish tanks from Kenny last night... something iv always wanted and I want to put them close to my main tank so i can plumb them in direct to save on equipment and to get that water volume up :) Below is a picture of my design... basily have the 125 Gal in the center with both of the small tanks on the sides and on top of those some even smaller tanks.

I will have a Reef tank, Shrimp Tank, Non Dwarf Sea Horse Tank, Dwarf Sea Horse Tank and another small tanks for something hehe not sure what... any ideas?

When your ceilings are moldy, when the sheetrock crumbles, and when you can't see out your windows for all the condensation built up on the glass, you'll know you've gone overboard. LOL

The more water in your tanks, the more water in your house that your a/c (and surely an adjunct dehumidifier) is going to have to contend with.

Niko is a tinkerer I can tell. I am sure he is buying and gutting out a dehumidifyer so that can can install it in the set up and have it drain outside.

Our house in it's hay day: one 135 reef plumbed in with a 60 cube,
One 135 angel, one 90 predator, one 37 (waiting on an octo, not wanting to break it down, and one 200 clownfish system.
Now everything but the system and the angel plus a 30 hex. The 135 angel drained Christmas morning, thanks Santa, and the system sucked so much electricity with the heaters turning on during the cold spell that it would trip the breaker.

Haha I would like a dehumidifier but they are just as much as a chiller :p

Not too bad. Mine was 189.00 at Home Depot.
It is a work horse. It takes out gallons a day on humid days.
My house was built in the 50ties so it's not sealed up like the newer ones.
The dehumidifyer makes summer so much more bearable.

Nick I can't tell you cause I dont know. I did not really see an increase in my electric bill. I was able to compensate by turning my AC up a little. I no longer needed the AC set so low to feel cool.

Now ask me about the power bill jump when I installed my pond pump.
Ouch!

Really? what kind of pump did you put on? haha

Do you have the dehumidifier out in the open or close to your fish tank?

The Pond got a Flow Tec submersible fountain pump. 3600 gallons per hour.

The dehumidyfer is on wheels. It is out in the open. It's not huge, it sits against the wall in my living room. I put it there becasue it is v ery near my air intake for the AC unit. There are days in the summer I will empty 2 gallons of water every other day.

I know what you mean. What is nice is you can select the humidity level you find acceptable, and it has a choice of fans speed too. It is three years old ans still works perfectly.

Does the fan run 24/7 and the compressor kicks on and off as required or does the fan shut off too?

I think a dehumidifier is a waste of time and money...Humidity....we live in Texas for petes sake. When is it not humid like a rainforest outside.Your AC will do just fine, especially with the amount of water you want to run.I can walk into RSI and the AC will be off and there is around 85% humidity, i kick the air on and within a couple of hours it drops humidity to less than 30%

Depend on how and when you house was made, and what the size and make of you air unit is. For me it is no waste of money.

Nick it has a high and low speed.
The fan will completely shut off in between cycles.
