I’m testing every night for cal, Alk, Mag on new tank to figure out how much to dose.
I have a light bioload. While cal is going down, Alk is the same. But mag seems to be going up? Is this possible? I even ran the test 3 times with same results.

Mag doesn’t need to be dosed much at all. Especially in your tank being new. If you’re dosing mag, it will quickly out run everything else.

Alk and Cal need to be dosed more frequently if you have a moderately stocked tank. SPS suck up more Alk and Cal.

Looking at your tank I’d say that you can likely maintain the levels with water changes and very minimal dosing. Coralline algae will suck up those elements as well.

If I were you, I would only dose Kalk in your ATO reservoir and monitor the levels weekly. You could start at 1 tsp per 5 gallons.

If you have Acro’s in the tank, you might wanna test 2-3x a week. Other than that, once a week is fine.

How old is your tank?

Honestly... if I were you...for right now...I’d run Tropic Marin All-For-Reef. It would be better than running Kalk and dosing mag separately. Plus you will get the benefits of those additional Trace Elements. TM on another level too. They spend a lot of time in the lab.
