I was planning on posting a 6 month update picture, so that is why this isn't in the Vendor section. It was about 6 months ago that I bought my aquarium used from another reefer on Marsh. As luck would have it there was a LFS named Aquatic Center not too far from my house, so I stopped there on the way home. I met Kenny, showed him what I had bought.......and he said he probably could have given me a better deal! (damn you fins!) So I asked him "Ok what do I do next???" He of course gave me lots of free advice and was very upfront and honest about equipment and costs. In fact he even told me when there were things that I might get a better deal on by buying it somewhere other than his store! Now my reef has been up and running for a little over six months. Personally I think it looks great! And while not everything in there is from Aquatic Center it seems like most of it is and I know that it wouldn't be near what it is today without Kenny's great store, advice and friendship! So here is my tank at 6 months. Thanks again Kenny!

You got lots more stuff in yours than I have in ours, for a 6 month mark.

That is great, it looks quite nice.

You've done a great job! How did you do your lighting? BTW, I sold it to you exactly what I paid for it!

I was just kidding about the price of the tank. It was a good deal and has obviously worked pretty well for us! I have a combination of VHO and T-5 lighting. I started with just VHO and then added a couple T-5's for more light to see if that would help color some things up a bit.

I gotta chime in here, his tank looks 10X better in person....I too couldn't believe how nice it looked only being 6 months old. Nice tank once again.

Robert, if all reefers have the patience and the will to learn and listen like you are then we won't have all this complaint about animals keep dying in their tank. I do appreciate your thought very much.

My filtration is done in my refugium which has a 2-4" sand bed, some live rock, and cheatomorpha growing in it. My skimmer was built by ReefALot, who you can find here on Marsh. It is a bullet style, external skimmer. It works great and his prices are good too. I don't use any other kind of filtration, just water changes every one to two weeks.
