Looks like I have a bubble algae outbreak. This happened overnight as well as a “spiderweb” looking film over rocks. Seems like some folks recommend a product called Vibrant to treat. Tank is 11 weeks old and I’m new to hobby. Comments appreciated.

LFS has had me dripping Kalkwasser and dosing Pro Buffer dKH

All my water for top offs and water changes come from LFS 8f9cf795c1562116968b38a337c329f6.jpg

Vibrant for the win with bubble algae.

what are you nitrate and phosphate readings?

why are they having you dose buffer? Or is it an alkalinity supplement?

Thanks. Yes all levels are perfect. Tested this morning. That’s correct just supplementing for alkalinity

I definitely recommend the vibrant, I had Cody in a frenzy with all my tank pictures because of the algae, after 1 month of dosing vibrant its gone! Just as a word of caution, it does stop growth of your pulsing Xenia (if you have any). It’s still nice and healthy and pulsing but it’s not growing any new stalks like it used to before the vibrant. Knocked the bubble algae out though! I dosed vibrant and did some manual removal and now it’s about 90% gone

Looks like diatoms or dino's to me too. That is part of the normal cycling process and by far the ugliest part. I say dose bacteria like microbacter7 every other week to keep your bacteria population up. New tank syndrome is all that is.
