So some of us have been talking some chit. So here is the challenge, winner gets bragging rights.

Take 1 good zoa(Nothing that grows like pests)

Frag it on a rock or plug, post a good picture, and lets see after a while who's grows fastest!

My entry!

Hard competition here...

Different palys/zoas spread at different rates. I have some "Texas Trash" palys that spread like wildfire and probably quadrupled since I started my tank 2months ago.

Oh... and I got a Nuclear Green frag back from i_am_poor and it's already sprout a new polyp in the few weeks I have had it.

This will also be a pretty good gauge of if a larger tank is really better than a smaller tank for coral health.

The only reason a larger tank is better is because it's easier to keep the water parameters more stable.....salinity/temp/cal/alk/mg/iodine........more volume=more headroom

I think the frag should all be the same.

All Nuclear Greens, they are a decent grower from my experience and really show it's growth under good params. Unlike the Purple Death which grows like a weed.

One ofyou should donate a zoa colony. Frag it out equally to each "contestant" set a time limit. Ready, set, go! most growth wins.

Ok I just made a frag and best I could do is 1 polyp and 2 baby polyps of NG. I'll try to snap some ugly pics tomorrow.
