Hello everyone.

I thought I'd make the rounds encouraging everyone within driving distance to attend our club's Next Wave conference. This annual event brings in hundreds of people each year to learn how to be better aquarists. We fly in four speakers to share their knowledge.

This year we are coupling the educational event with Steve Tyree's Coral Famers Market(sm). Not only will you have the opportunity to hear what Charles Delbeek, James Fatheree, Gerald Heslinga, and Matt Pederson, but you'll have the opportunity to purchase tank raised corals of all types. Tyree's goal is to provide a huge selection of corals that are used to aquarium conditions, promoting propagation. A good group of vendors have followed in his footsteps and will be on hand to answer your questions and send you home with some new items.

Here are some images from the previous Next Wave. If you'd like to sign up, there's a link at the base of this page:

Oh... I guess I'm making some phone calls tomorrow, LOL!

Should we start a new thread or keep the bus chartering thing in this one?

And what hours are we going to need the bus for? Keeping in mind its a long drive and a 9-5 event, we could be looking at having it for 8 to 14 hours.

It is in the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens, just west of downtown Fort Worth. I think chartering a bus is a great idea so you can enjoy talking with one another. You can share things you learned and trade tips on how you'll be quarantining new corals coming home with you.

Buy your ticket today so you are committed to attending. A lot of people say they are planning to go, but until you buy the ticket, it can sneak off your schedule. Mark that date, tell your family, ask your boss for the day off, and come have fun with us. I bought my ticket a month ago. :)

Somebody make this man an honorary member. Marc should not be tagged as "guest" IMHO. "Aquatic Luminary" is more fitting.
