Great info Andre! I've been supplementing SR for about 3 months now and my SPS are exploding with growth! Between the tips you gave me a few months back, dosing SR, and adding my new Gen 4 Pros my SPS are growing insanely fast. They have great color and are just overall extremely happy. For the first time my SPS are growing into each other and I'm having to trim them back. Can't believe the growth and color I have now. Thanks again for all your tips and tricks!

And thank you Ecotech! The G4 Pro's are insane.

I'm glad to hear you finally tried that ;-)
I was expecting these results in your case since you really care about the other important parameter in a reef!

Just be aware, the "Xessive" growth, changes the growth pattern of some corals quite significant.
Also watch out not to go over since then the reef will stop growing for some reason.

Another word of warning is, if you do limit the calcification now by running low on CA or ALK or Potassium, the SR consumption goes down and the continuing of dosing might get the SR level too high.
If so just wait for SR to drop and you are back on track.

I check SR biweekly as well.

Since I'm dealing right now with some MARSH reefer issues all related to the same root cause, I will likely spend time and a video to explain the importance of the right Skimming foam (Microfoam) to have the skimmer really take out the messy junk.
This takes some modifications on some skimmers, even I did do that on my Lifereef Skimmer.

Especially important for SPS tanks and Carbon source tanks ;-)

Yeah, I got dat microfoam! Lol

Really, I like this skimmer for the bubble plate technology, but that's about it. You can tell the skimmer is cheaply built. I don't like the way the collection cup goes on and off, but other than that it's ok.

LifeReef for me next time unless there's something better out by then. I would've pulled the trigger this time, but my pockets weren't fat enough at the time.
