Trying to figure out calculations for tanks (1 Viewer)

What I am trying to do, is figure up the total wattage that I would most likely use on a 75 or 120 gal tank (4x2x2).

How many lights would I put on the 75, and how many over the 120?
If I did VHO?
If I did T-5?

Could I do 2x250W DE MHs with how many VHO?s without a chiller?

What kind of return pump would I normally require, or whats the average wattage of these pumps?

Trying to do this to see what we can have, the tank will mostly be LPS, fish, and low-light sps.

If I was choosing to not go MH I would do T-5's. You can get 6 T-5s over a 75 and can keep what your looking for easily.

But are T-5s becoming easily found?

Also if I went with VHO or T-5 could I install them in the normal canopy that comes with the tank and stand, or will it still need to be a raised up custom canopy?

I got mine from www.reegeek.com. I installed them in a standard oceanic canopy, I have no problems with heat. Tank stays below 81 degrees. (I do keep my house at 72 so that may have somtehing to do with it)

Did I hear a while back that people seemed to like the Blue better than the Actinic 03?

And should I mix the Sun 6K with the 11K?

I have 4 (At the time my tank was a 72 bowfront and its all that would fit. Im probally going to order 2 more now) , mikester has 6.

I have
1 ATI 6000K Sun
1 ATI 11000K Aquablue
2 ATI Blue Plus

And I like my color combination. Mikester has a similar configuration, I know he has a post on here somewhere about his setup.

I like the Blue Plus over the 03, the 03 seemed weak, the Blue Plus really makes my coral flouresce (sp?)

Right now, I have 2 suns, 2 aquablue, and 2 blue+ on my tank. I also have 2 actinics that I didn't use. I am going metal halide on my new tank, and I will use the 2 blue+ and 2 actinics for supplementation. I might order 2 more blue+ and skip the actinics altogether - not sure yet.

I use the blue+ and the actinic. I figure the more "blue light spectrum" I can cover the better.
