It had been a while since I cleaned my skimmer, and this is what I found...
In case the pictures aren't clear, that second shot is down inside the body of the skimmer. I noticed it had gotten pretty inefficient, which is why I decided to take it out and clean it. Now that I know what was happening, I'm guessing the worms were pulling more junk out of the water than the skimmer itself.
