I meant to post this comment on a couple of these for sell threads, but they closed before I did.

For anyone who might not know there is a guy, Roger Vitco, located at the Austin Tunze location. He is extremely helpful in answering any questions if you start having trouble with your unit. I bought mine from a member, it was older, and out of warranty. He was able to tell me the year it was made, and what could be wrong with it, and the cost of each scenario would be to repair. I was able to send it in to him and he replaced the optic sensor, gave me the repair quote before continuing with the repair, it costed me about $30-40 plus shipping, sent it back to me in a weeks time and it works like new now. He is one of the repair guys there so it goes directly to him.

Here is his personal email address if anyone needs it:

Rodger isn't just one if the repair guys he IS the Tunze guy. [emoji4]

He was the first Tunze distributor in the US and knows everything about them. He previously worked at Aquatek in Austin with Bruce and split off to be the Tunze rep, almost 15 years ago. Everything Tunze goes through him.

He's a super cool guy and yes can pretty much fix anything personally. Funny when I send my Tunze products in he's always impressed with how old they are. No one is going to beat Quoc's bricks though that he ran for 10 years straight with no cleaning.
