I got some live rock that had some stowaways on it. I have an idea of what it is, but just want some confirmation before I go about getting rid of it.

It's hard to tell without a much closer pic...but it looks like a little rock/flower anemone.

If you don't want it, carefully remove it or chip off the piece of LR it's on and sell it here on the BST forum. I'm certain someone will take it off your hands.

Never seen a rock anemone split, it would be odd to see two so close

hehe, actually it's 3 right there. It's a different group than that first one. I seem to have about 8 that are roaming around (that I've seen).

it's a majano...get some hot water and a syringe and inject each one of them. or you could use lugol's solution and inject them with that. or lime or lemon juice. but get them out quickly. they will sting other corals (if you have them) and overtake your tank.

here's a link to a mojano:http://www.jimb.us/images/ls/majano.jpg

Well, they're not multiplying in my tank. I've had them for 2 weeks now. They are just kind of there. All of them came into the tank at the same time and there numbers haven't increased. The 3 in the group were in the group when I got the rock. Two different ones moved to better locations after a couple of days.
