Yeah so this is pretty interesting.
Marc Levinson, Andrew Sandler, Tulio measuring spectrum profiles and evaluating MH performance compared to LED. I’m not a huge YouTuber but this is kind of interesting. Where did I put those mh ballasts?

Something is afoot however. They measure the temp output from both MH and LED @100% output. As someone pointed out in conversation, Why do I need a chiller when running MH and not so much for LED?

because wattage is not the same.

led is more efficient. If you believe the led manufacturers, a 90 watt led is equal to a 250w metal halide. A 215 watt led is equal to a 400 watt mh. Because the leds are more efficient in creating light without creating excess heat in addition to light.

edit:

in the video they are comparing a 250w metal halide vs 215w of the radian. 35w delta isn't much.

I have one small cheap fan (I believe Greg told me about 3 yr ago) that manages my temp for (2) 250w Halides and (3) XR15 G5’s. All these years I thought for sure I’d need a chiller. Tullio’s RB’s run much cooler. I left my cell phone on top for hours one day. Never melted it.
