Anyone know of a way to efficiently get rid of them? I read about cutting them and superglue, but it doesn't seem like that fully gets rid of them. They didn't really bother anything in my tank and rarely shot out webbing until I picked up a Dragon Goby. I guess with him stirring up the sand, the Vermetids are trying to catch food and now there is webbing everywhere. Nothing major, just kind of annoying.

They are really obnoxious, had more in my last tank and the only way to truly get rid of them is pure manual removal. I took my rock and chiseled them off with a flat blade screwdriver for hours then soaked in bleach (then rinse, sun, rinse, sun, a few times). Obviously killed the rock but got rid of the buggers.
A yellow coris wrasse is also supposed to be one of the few natural critters that will get rid of them. Bit hit and miss though.

Hermits eat them. Only reason I have them in my tank (though I do think they're pretty cool looking). Had a HORRIBLE infestation of the little buggers in my 70. Make sure you don't see them growing on your corals or it'll Sohal Tang them off almost the point of being dead.
