Hey guys! My next big purchase for my new setup is lighting. I'm going to be running 4 x 60" VHOs on my 135. I know that IceCap is all the rage, but is the output really better than the cheaper AROs, etc.? Is it worth the extra bucks?

Has anyone had the chance to compare the color? I'd prefer a little blue to the lighting rather than yellow.

I doubt there is a difference. I would use it. As far as color goes, thats determined by the bulbs you buy. sounds like you'll need two super actinics :)

Hi Allyson, over my 180g tank I have 1 72" URI vho actinics and 1 Corallife{I think thats the brand}. The URI are a much nicer blue or actinic than the less expensive URI.

Can't help ya on the whiter bulbs but this is what you can see on my 180g right now. One burned out and I replaced it locally instead of waiting for a shipment, but the blue is just not there.
