I signed up way back in February thru an online vendor's pre-order offer and found a nice little package on my doorstep after work today. The manual isn't kidding where it says NEVER (yes, they wrote it in caps) to let the two halves attach together w/o anything between them. Unfortunately, that's exactly how it comes out of the box. 
So I take a look at it and then realize that the part they call the frame is nicely snapped right down the middle. Looks like I'll have to wait some more.. arg!
I'll take some pics before trying to figure out the warranty process. The motor isn't as large as I thought it'd be, but the manual says to hang the motor with the power cord basically taped above it in case the pump falls the glass. 8O Well, we'll see how it works whenever the replacement comes...
