Hey there so some back story, Started with IM 30 Long and purchased Current USA because of the affordability factor. When i upgraded to my current set up 75 Gal, I stuck with them and bought the return and the loop controller so i could link the wave pumps(2x 1050gph wave pump) and return (1x 1900gph DC flow return).

Currently i am running into issues with the loop controller faulting and just turning off, so the return and wave pumps then shut off. And on top when the system is working the are not working properly. You have to push the face of the frame/impeller to make contact with the magnetic motor.

Has anyone had these issues?

Looking to make the switch to Ecotech Marine, 2x MP10s and either Vectra S2 or M2 depends if i see myself upgrading tank in the next year or 2

Thanks in advance

Can't say I've never had this setup. Usually, when you have to manually start the pumps they need cleaning or they are burning out. I would just go ahead and update them.

What size of tank are you thinking of upgrading to? With your stocking MP10's should be plenty for the tank you have, but may not be strong enough for a larger tank. MP40's may work for you, but you would need to run them really low. I have two MP10's and two MP40's on a 45G cube. MP10's are gyre at 70% and the MP40's are gyre at 1%. Flow in my tank is low enough for mushrooms and a bubble tip anemone, but anything like torches or frogspawn would get shredded. So, MP40's placed and programmed right may work for you and give you the power for a future larger tank.

I originally was running the Loop system as well... Probably one of my biggest mistakes... Kept having issues, ordering replacements, after about a year, the powerheads just stopped working. Couldn't get them to go on anymore. Did some research online I found out I wasn't the only one. Ended up throwing them away. Only kept the return pump, but not for the return, only running my UV through it...

From what research online I haven't heard a lot of good things the Versas. I'm running 6 Jebao Return Pumps on my system, oldest one is going over 2 years now, no issues so far. At their price point and quick availability (one day shipping thru amazon) you can't go wrong.

As for Powerheads I'm running Gyres. Recently added a couple of Jebao SOW 20 for additional flow.
