blasto w/ heads dieing why??

i have had this blasto for a few months now and about 2 weeks ago a head died, i though nothing of it untill today. I pulled the coral out to remove some bubble algae on the back, while removing the algae i notced a weird yellow squishy like fungus. I've never seen this before is this the cause of the death of the heads?

here is a video http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee467/turtlesoup23/?action=view&current=VIDEO0032.mp4

T-5-led combo,46 bow,mp10,10g sump w/ refugium and coralife skimmer.

Looks like a yellow sponge to me, though a picture showing its texture would help confirm ID.

Yes, those are sponges. Harmless, they wouldn't have caused the head to die off like that.
