Just picked up the Tunze Osmolator 3155

I also removed my tunze osmo and kept the Red Sea gravity fed system. Simple, safe, less wires, no alerts to deal with.

Did you just drill a hole in the sump for a float valve?

My favorite was the tunze... but still had issues... mainly humidity killed the controllers. Still use them but favorite is gravity fed.

The only thing I don’t like about gravity fed is that you have to elevate the reservoir off the floor (needs solid stand) and put it up high which makes it more noticeable in the room. It’s great for a garage or fish room. Not so great for a living room.

It doesn't have to be very high. In my 150, my reservoir is a cooler sitting on a plastic box, and the bottom of it is about the same height as the water line in the sump, and it all fits in the stand. Of course, it helps that I have a glass top on that tank, otherwise I would need a bigger reservoir that might not fit so well.

This Tunze 3155 feels like a solid piece of equipment. Can't wait to play with it.
