Another of the possibilities of the first pic is A. prostrata but this coral doesn't seem to have the more pointed tips compared to A. millepora's which are more rouned. Another that has comparible polyps is A. albrolhoensis but is a stag. Another is A. spicifera but it grows more like a table. A. millepora also tends to grow out in a table growth form when more fully grown out.

If I feel I can't give an educated type suggestion of any given species of acropora, montipora I don't but the ones I do feel I'm fairly certain of I do and have no problems doing so.

Hey t0mmy108 (or anyone else who can answer this)
In the last tank pic, there is a purple fish right in the middle; what kind of fish is it? Looks awesome!
Thanks in advance.

Narkon,
YOU--taking a hiatus and spending money on something beside the tank?
Like that'll ever REALLY happen!
:D :D ROFL :D :D

It's in your and Stef's blood. Admit it. You're too hooked for a hiatus.

I'm with James here. We can't really id those acros with out a dead skeleton. Most of the acros we call out by names are wrong anyways.

But to find a way of identifying them for communication doesn't mean were sloppy low life hobbiest who aint got a clue and don't care about our corals. * sits back and whitles away at a stick while spitting into a cup * (yeah right)

In every facet of life there are the know it's and the others. Some-one out there is always going to know more than you. Some people just misinterpret that they are the know it all's.

Hi. In reference to pictures 6 & 7, I have seen these many times. They usually come on live rock from the gulf (Florida), and I think they are a type of tube coral ( Cladacora arbuscula ). I hope this helps.

We actually have run out of money. And as such are taking a kind of hiatus for a while.

We are going to let what we have grow and see what we have room for as it grows.

How is yours coming along by the way?

I'm on a buying hiatus for a while myself. The kids' Christmas ate my tank budget. Everything's going fine. I'm watching things grow like you are.The male clown disappeared last week, and I found him in the 'fuge last night. :)
