There are large white marks on my Gem Tang. Pictures attached. What do you think caused these? I have another large yellow tang. Are they abrasions?

Hard to tell for sure, but they do look like some sort of wound. Maybe the tangs are fighting, or if there is an anemone in the tank he might have gotten into it somehow. Keep a close eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Without a better picture, I'd say those are scales knocked off from fighting
