So I have a tlf150 stuffed with some pillow casing floss from Walmart.

Pump is mag9 tee'd into the reactor and other half into the refugium area

I have a brs dosing pump dumping about ~50ml throughout the day that is tee'd into the input tlf and the output into a 5 micron sock in my skimmer section..

I'm using the seaclear "cr" version which is the diluted lacl.... 20ml into a gallon rodi.

Had this setup for about 2 weeks or so and my phos has been around .06 via Hanna URL.

When my gallon runs out I'm thinking of upping the lacl solution to get my phos down a bit more.

What is your total water volume. Looks like you are dosing about 0.26ml Seaklear CR per day which is pretty conservative unless your tank is less than 50 gallons or so. Floss plus 5 micron sock should be a safe setup.

TWV= 50-60gallons

yeh i think its pretty safe so next refill i will up the CR dosage. just changed the floss yesterday so looks like every 2 weeks it gets clogged..

Are your phosphate levels decreasing? I might increase the dose by 50% Max if phosphates aren't dropping but if you are seeing decreases I would likely maintain current levels.

they've been holding steady at .067 for awhile now so thats why i want to increase the dosage to probably 30ml/gallon rodi. and then test in a week and see and go from there.

thanks for placing the pictures up. i was going to ask you about the in-line hose connection betweeen the mag and reactor; but you stated that it is connected to the BRS pumps. so does the constant pressure from the mag ever affect your BRS pump? you also stated that there is material in the reactor chamber (pillow floss you found at Walmart). what did you have to do to prepare that; simple rinse off? so i see that the reactor output leads to the sock, cool. how does the dosing of seaclear work into affect?

i actually never thought bout if it ever effects the brs pump... when i did it i just thought water is pushing this way and its "dripping" into the flow...

i dont rinse the floss just take it out and put straight into the reactor..

its coming from the brs dosing pump via the 1/4 tubing and inserted into tee'd off tube from the mag...

i had to buy a nylon tee barb with 1/2 connection and 1/4" for it to work.

Where is a good and trustworthy place to buy a 5 micron filter sock that is reefsafe (e.g., no steel ring)?
