ACJR
it really depends on you. i only had the acjr with serial port. i beleive the difference in the ACJR and th RK2 is that all AquaControllers is programmed by you, meaning you do all the scripts, commands, etc...
if you dont want that the the RK is for you. most of the RK is already programmed and you simply add some times or names

i heard that if you cant figure out how to program an alarm clock or vcr, then the RK is for you.

Well I do want something easy to use but Im not that bad when It comes to vcr's and such. I have been reading that the scripts can get confusing but the ACJR is better unit, but the RK2 can use its web input and you can check the tank at all times.

what i like about my ac is that support is very much there to help on RC. even though sometimes it take a day or so to respond, the support team at RC can pretty much cover any question or help you cover what you are trying to do with your controller. if you post your program, then can look into it and tell you whats wrong and even add some safety measures.
AquaNotes 3 is really impressive also.

i have two 175 watt mh ice cap electronic ballasts on one outlet of the dc-8

last nite i was on RC and saw this cool thread all about controllers and this website dedicated to them. it is cool and valuable and you can compare all the controllers next to each other. YOU MUST SEE!

http://www.aquariumcontrollers.com/

check out the comparision chart, then go to 2. aquarium controller chart above.

after I seen this i kinda like the new Reek Keeper Elite. there is some serious competition
