Bought this as a green birdnest but now having my doubts as to what it is. Grows purple with green tips.... birdnest or some type of stylo? Thanks

Purple stylo to me too.

Actually, do the branches break easily? Can you just twist with your finger and they break? If so, its a birdsnest. If not, stylo.

I go with the first answer. I know it looks very similar to P. Stylo but looking at some of the branches it resembles a birdsnest.

I had the same coral for more than 5/yrs. Let me see if I can find a picture.

Yeah, I was thinking it could be either, that's why I asked about the fragile nature of branches. That's a dead giveaway as stylos are unbreakable! Haha.

Is there a small branch you can perform this test on? This will give you the most definitive answer to is it a stylophora sp. or is it a seriatopora sp. ...
