What is on my wrasse (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Just bought a flame wrasse and I noticed it has one big white furry spot. Any one have any idea if it's a fungal bacteria or parasite?

When Ive seen that it usually cleared up on its on.

Looks like Lymphocytis to me. If it is, it will clear up on its own. It's kind of like a wart. Just pops up and then goes away over a few months. As long as you keep your fish healthy and water quality good, it won't be contagious to your other fish (although it is a virus transferred to unhealthy or injured fish). Keep an eye on it but don't worry.

If I had to guess, I'm going with Lympho as well. Since it's a virus, nothing you can do but let it pass. It's usually brought on by stress. Is that fish new?

Yup new fish, and I will keep monitoring it, seems to begetting smaller and smaller.

Yeah, I see a lot of fish break out with it during stressful events. Shipping the fish seems to be the big one that gets them.
