Hey guys. Im doing a 150g tall build and was wondering what return pump everyone is using. The tank is 30" tall and the stand is going to be about 40" tall. I will have a sump with my skimmer in it. I don't plan on doing a refug. Instead, I will have live rock rubble in the center of the sump or maybe make it a frag compartment. I will have a ghost overflow with bean animal plumbing. In total im look at a little under 6' of head room. Im thinking of getting a Mag 12 Pondmaster. What do yall think? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

I have been using the Jebao DC-12000 on my 190 and I really like it. Powerful and nice and quiet. It's been running since November.

Eheim's way, way, way over Mag drives. I have owned/own 3 Mag drive pumps (an 18, 12, & 5); and 3 Eheims (forgot model numbers because I so rarely handle them).

The Mag 18 and 12 were used in a pond (~12+ years) and the Mag 5 (~10+ years) as a water change pump. The 2 Eheims were used in a calcium reactor (~20+ years between them) and a return ( at least 10+ years). The Eheims are much less problematic, much more dependable, run cooler, and require much less maintenance.
