i took down my tank and let my LR sit out in the open with no water for a day. I since then placed it back in my tank filled with freshwater...low and behold i found a tentacle sticking out from my rock. It's transparent and about 3 inches long, no color, look like a normal anenome tentacle but it's slightly brownish and u can see thru it. Any1 know what that is? i figure anything on my rock would be death after exposed to air for 24 hrs. BTW i didnt know snails can survive fresh water.

Why did you take all your live rock out and let it sit in the open air and then place it back into freshwater?

becuz im starting over :D i wanted to sterlize what ever pathogens riding on my LR ...i know most people probably wont agree but im going extreme :lol:
