what the heck? (1 Viewer)

I have some reddish-green and white bubbly stuff floating on the top of my CPR Aquafuge. What the heck is it? I'm not trying to sound like a newbie but this is my first fuge. And how often do you mow the grass? LOL!

I call that "slime" and just skim it off with a net eery other week or so.... Can't really say what it is, or whether it is good or bad. I just kept getting rid of it so that the light can get through to the algae.

Sounds like cyano maybe has some sand dust in it?
Just skim it of with a brineshrimp net. It'll go away when the system stabilizes. What kind of lights are you running?
