Seems nice but dunno how long it is going to be until it is available, then you have to watch gen 1 products to make sure there are no bugs...

Looks interesting, but I'm leary of the magnetic design. I'd be afraid it would be bumped off somehow. I am curious how reviews are for it after people have used it for some time.

Like I said in the other thread I really like the Tunze Osmolator, it has never failed to deliver water when the tank was low and the high water sensor does work I have tested it. Been using the same osmolator and pump for three years.

double one. so the fail safe one failed on me... but GREAT customer service though. he offered me to have the unit ship it back to him and he will test it out and rewire it if anything. but i just didnt feel comfortable with it and he gave me a full refund.

I use my Apex to run an Aqualifter for 3.5 minutes, 6 times per day, plus an autotopoff.com floatswitch as a failsafe. The float switch sits about an inch above the level in the return compartment, and the aqualifter pumps in approximately my daily evaporation. Before I had the Apex, I used a $19 digital timer. Once a week I might add a half gallon or less of water to make up the difference between topoff amount and actual evaporation. Even if the Aqualifter gets stuck on, the floatswitch will allow less than a gallon of water before shutting off the aqualifter. It's been completely reliable going on 7 yrs now. Nothing is completely failsafe, but I have pretty good peace of mind with this system.
