??? Im lost?

I have a pair of Occelaris that have no interest in my anemones... so, when I was loafing around one of the LFS. Saw a seddleback(?) that was hosting in a GTBA.

After acclimation, it took the lil guy roughly 15-20 minutes to decide which anemone he wanted to romp in. Currently he maintains roughly a 2-3" 'no mans land' zone around, letting no one closer but 'The Hand' and the bangai.

FYI I had 2 saddlebacks and they killed my true percs. I found one of the true percs stuffed into a hole in a rock sideways.

Own a tank long enough and eventually something will die. The first hurricane was a nightmare, 2nd wasn't anymofe fun but at least I was prepared for it, and the loss when the backups failed.

The tank is over 100g, fug within sump approx 30-35... Lta on one end, Bta on the opposite end. If/when some display agression starts the others will be put to another tank or relegated to the sump. It's remotely possible, if the Occ pair eventually host in the BTA things may work out.

I should have said, thanks for the heads up though. :) At the time when I was loafing, it was with the intent of trying to find a pair of a different breed and then re-home/relocate the occ's.

At this point, that's changed to letting this one grow in size a bit, then work on trynig to pair it with a smaller one while seeing how these behave.

The Occ's have zero interest in the Saddle, and the saddle no interest in any of the others unless they get within the 2-3" range of the LTA. In fact the female Occ pays considerably more attention to the chromis & coris.

Occ's moved to sump... lasted approx a week, then found the large occ after the saddle in the lta. No interest in the anem, just didnt like the saddle.

So... the 'cheat' is complete...
They like to dive inside the lta mouth when the cleaning magnet comes nears... and the dynamic with the Chromis is developing some changes.

Chromis would turn broadside and shimmy to the small saddle, small saddle did it to the bigger saddle, big saddle would do the same to the chromis. Bangai seems to have decided the neighborhood has gone to hell and does his usual permambulation around the tank.
