I want to make a clear see thru lid made out of clear plastic sheet. Acrylic is too hard to work with. Where can I find some hard plastic sheet?

Yeah but it's easy to work with, score it and snap it. I figured that was what he was talking about not the heavy duty aquarium acrylic you have to cut. So if I sent you on a wild goose chase I'll buy you a beer or two.

I'm actually not sure what to recommend about all of the plastics are going to be equally difficult to work with. If its thin it can be cut/scored if its thicker your going to need a saw. One option might be to get the dimensions and have one of the local plastics places will cut it for you. Heck they will even edge route the sides if you pay them to.

I just use my wet tile saw with a 7" diamond blade. It cuts plastic like butter.

Not hard to cut etc if you have the tools etc... what size do you need? A concern is/will be...how close are the lights to the surface/lid... too close and they will warp.
