Which hanna checkers do you really find useful?? (1 Viewer)

I was looking into updating my testing supplies and was wondering which hanna checkers you all actually found useful. How often do you use them etc?

PO4 for sure. Way better than trying to determine color on a card. All my Elos card colors look the same.

If you want I have I think 4 of the Hanna Checkers that were used very little, some have extra tests. I'll sell the lot for $100., they're practically new. It's Alk, PO4, Nitrites, and Calcium

Yes there are extra I believe PO4 and Calcium test. Over $250 and they've been used less then 5 times I'd say. Testing water is liek doing homework, I just walk in on test day.

Alk & URL phosphorous. It's pretty accurate if you wipe down the curvette thoroughly and make sure you use all the reagent + slowly shake to minimize micro bubbles. Hope that'll render a better reading for ya.

You didn't sing Kumbaya around a bonfire that's why it was off I'm sure you used this formula Reading x3.066/1000. Just throwing it out there in case you missed it. I know the instruction didn't come with that. Mine was sporadic but once dialed in its been pretty consistent for me. Have you tried different batch of reagents?

Yes, the test is for phosphorous, not phosphate. You have to convert to phosphate.
I haven't tried other batches of reagent but i have heard about a lot of supposed bad batches.
I've done all the recommended things and can do three separate tests in a row and get three different results.
Too inconsistent for me and i just don't see the point or find the test necessary any more.
A regular liquid test kit is adequate if I really feel the need to test it.

I have the HI 96713 PO4 LR LAB tester.
Pretty good and accurate, never a problem.
I also have the good old Magnet kit, also super accurate and never need any regent other than some calories to move it.
