good ? I am also interested in the answer -- I think they will say cheato as it is not as likely to nuke your tank -- but I guess we will see what they say..... You may want to add a poll.
mangroves aren't good for a fuge in terms of nutrient export. they're nice to look at, but that's pretty much the only plus they have. cheato is much better, plus you don't need a sandbed to keep them (no root system).
Some Macros reproduce by essentially falling apart and can get out of hand and dump a bunch of bad stuff all over your tank.. cheato is not known for this problem, not sure about graciala, someone will know.
Chaetomorpha and Gracilaria are good stuff. There are some other species too but you dont see them too often. I've never had a problem with Caulerpa, though some people have.
Gracilaria also comes in several colors -- which could be interesting. I have also heard some say that Ulva sp is a good pod factory. I plan to ask if anyone coming to a January event has any extra of either they are willing to part with.
