I really would like to try it out also but I dont know what to use for that cone. Any ideas?

Also I cant figure out what some of the pipes are.

I also think I would like to make it a recirculating skimmer.

Notice the pipe in the background, it looks like a bent piece of PVC if this is so it seems like a lot of work when he could have just bought a couple of joints, but cool.

Wow that is great!!!!!!!made my mind worked.Why spend hundreds of $$$$$$$$ for a branded skimmer.That's a solution to our present economy.I would go with the cone shape.There's a road construction on my way home from work.............. :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Seriously that's an awesome idea.Mike130y, let's build it together.

Where can I buy a brand new large street cone? We have tons of them at the fire dept but they are all greasy and nasty so I dont think they would work.

Crazy. I was just sitting at my office day b4 yesterday thinking about building a cone skimmer out of a traffic cone. I had no idea someone else had already done it.
