who cultures phytoplankton? (2 Viewers)

In my opinion, the phytoplankton does not need to be strained. I don't know what he is trying to strain out. I do not strain my phyto. I purchased a quart of the F2 fertilizer from florida aqua farms. It is enough to last a loooong time. I do not trust using the miracle gro liquid fertilizer. I don't know what all is in it. Some say it has copper in it etc.

got the culture goin on day 2. i made 2 cultures.. one with the FaF F2 and one with Miricle grow... i thought the Miricle grow had crash... but it's slow to start... but it is now taking off.

I'll keep ya posted.

today it looks like the miricle grow culture is catching up to the FaF f2. both are doing well. 3 more days and i can slit them for the second culture.

I'm headed up to Houston the weekend of the 30th...I can bring some of his up with me. I used to live in League City, so I know the area well. I'm headed to Kingwood so it's a bit out of the way, but a SPS frag would definatly make it worth my time.

I am looking to culture my own phyto. All I need is a starter culture/sample, can anyone sell me some for this, I won't need too much? Also, does anyone use fertilizer or fertilizer? Which brand and type do you use?
