Why does my BTA look so much better when I look down on it from the top of the tank?
Looking through the front, it looks mostly brown, but when I look down from top of tank, it looks really green.
What causes this??
Anyway to change it??

Most things look better from top view. (Clams, SPS, most other things) Thats usually because thats where the light hits it first.

well that sucks, from the front, plain ugly brown, and from the top, nice pretty green.

the angle of incedince is equal to the angle of the reflection, basic photography lesson... same reason you get red eye. the light bounces back from the same angle that hits it... that is why you get the pretty clams and sich...

So basically, my MH would have to be shining through the front of my tank....?
Hmm, i think they'd get in my way when trying to look in my tank.

Well i guess you could construct it to hit from an angled front view, but I dont think you'd like the glare on the glass hehe.
