I have them in my refugium, but I never see any in my main tank. Some of you talk about how you have tons of them in your tank.....do you actually see them moving around...or do you have to sneak up on them at night? How do I go about getting a bunch of them in my main tank? I really want to get a Mandarin...but not until I have enough pods.

Look at your display at night with a red flashlight. If you don't see any, place some liverock in your refugium for a few weeks and put the LR back into your display. Most likey the pods are there but you weren't able to see it.

Or you already have somthing in the main tank that is wiping them out before they can reproduce in number.

Night is the best time to see them, that is when mine would actually swim around in the water and crawl all over the glass. Daytime I would OCCASIONALLY see one scurrying around liverock, but not very often. Red flashlight is best, but white worked for me on very diffuse setting.

Yea night is probly the best. Something you can try is take some fresh water in a container (ro/di) take a small rock from your main tank like fragment rock place it in the fresh water and shake it around. See if some pods come off... throw them back in yoru tank QUICK and I think they live... maybe... but if not its only a few... I notice I loose alot when a zoa rock is looking bad and I dip it.

And when your looking for them look in caves and crevises

Jim, I've seen your tank. I'm sure you have pods. Most pods hide in your rock or sand bed, so just look on your glass (like corner) w/ a flashlight in the middle of the night. You should see tiny white dots moving around.
