i have both in a small tank, and the peppermint stays away from the coral banded.

I had a mean CBS with like 100 peppermints... they did fine.

eventually, the coral banded may eat the peppermint, especially if your tank is smaller in size. but they may last together for a while.

I have a Coral Banded, Fire and Peppermint in my 55 gallon. No problems. You just need to make sure they stay well fed. I feed mine shrimp pellets.
